Biggby Coffee caffeine content: every drink and size

A 16 oz Biggby brewed coffee has 190mg of caffeine, a hot latte in any flavor has 126mg, and a single shot of Biggby espresso has 63mg. Those numbers come straight from Biggby's official nutritional guide (February 2026 edition), which lists caffeine for every drink and size on the menu. The full table is below, but if you only remember one thing, remember 63. Almost every espresso drink at Biggby is built from that shot.

The two numbers that explain the whole menu

Biggby's menu looks huge. Caramel Marvel, Teddy Bear, Butter Bear, Mocha Mocha, and a few dozen more. Caffeine-wise it collapses to a simple pattern. Nearly every flavored latte, hot, iced, or frozen, lists 126mg at 16 oz and 20 oz and 189mg at 24 oz. That is two shots at 63mg each in the smaller sizes and three shots in the 24 oz. The syrup changes, the caffeine does not. A Pumpkin Spice Latte, a Golden Honey Latte, and a plain latte all carry the same load.

Brewed coffee is the other anchor. BIGGBY Best and French Roast both list 190mg at 16 oz, 238mg at 20 oz, and 285mg at 24 oz. That means the drip coffee out-caffeinates the latte at every size, which surprises people who assume espresso drinks are the strong option. If you want the most caffeine per dollar at Biggby, order the brewed coffee.

The ceiling on the menu is the Red Eye, which is brewed coffee with espresso added. A 24 oz hot Red Eye lists 438mg, which is more than the FDA's daily reference point in a single cup. The iced version runs lower, 223mg to 337mg, because ice displaces coffee.

Biggby caffeine by drink and size

All figures are from Biggby's official nutritional guide. Flavored lattes share one row because nearly every flavor lists identical caffeine; the few exceptions are noted below the table.

Drink 16 oz 20 oz 24 oz
Brewed coffee (BIGGBY Best, French Roast), hot 190mg 238mg 285mg
Decaf BIGGBY Best, hot 20mg 25mg 30mg
Red Eye, hot 292mg 340mg 438mg
Red Eye, iced 223mg 254mg 337mg
Iced coffee 206mg 258mg 313mg
Sweet foam cold brew (all flavors) 158mg 187mg 234mg
Americano, hot or iced 189mg 252mg 252mg
Latte, nearly all flavors, hot or iced or frozen 126mg 126mg 189mg
Cappuccino 126mg 126mg 189mg
Cafe au lait, hot 95mg 119mg 143mg
Cafe au lait, iced 103mg 129mg 156mg
Single shot of espresso 63mg
BIGGBY Blast energy drink (all flavors) 102mg 102mg 102mg
Red Bull mocktails n/a 80mg 80mg
Matcha tea latte 25mg 50mg 75mg
Chai Charger latte (chai plus espresso) 126mg 126mg 189mg
Chai tea latte 0mg 0mg 0mg
Hot black teas (Earl Grey, Morning Blend, Spicy Cinnamon) 70mg 70mg 140mg
Minty Green tea 50mg 50mg 100mg
Creme Freezes (except Red Bull flavor) 0mg 0mg 0mg

A few things in that table are worth calling out. Biggby's regular chai tea latte lists 0mg of caffeine, which is unusual for a chai. If you want chai flavor with a kick, the Chai Charger adds espresso and jumps to 126mg. The BIGGBY Blast energy drinks list a flat 102mg no matter the size or whether they are iced or frozen, so upsizing one buys you sugar water, not caffeine. And the Americano tops out at 252mg because the 20 oz and 24 oz both get four shots. One oddity in the latte rows: the guide lists the hot 24 oz Coconut Creme, Nutty Buddy, and Chocolate Covered Leprechaun lattes at 126mg instead of 189mg, even though the iced and frozen versions of those same flavors list 189mg at 24 oz.

Adjusting is easy math since everything is shot-based. Ask for an extra shot in any latte and add 63mg, which takes a 16 oz from 126mg to 189mg. Going the other direction, ordering a 24 oz latte with two shots instead of three drops it back to 126mg. The frozen lattes carry the same caffeine as the hot versions, so a Frozen Caramel Marvel is not a lighter order, and the iced coffee at 206mg for 16 oz actually beats the sweet foam cold brew at 158mg, the reverse of what most people expect from cold brew.

One note on third-party numbers: Caffeine Informer lists Biggby brewed coffee at 200mg per 16 oz, slightly above the 190mg in the current official guide. When sources disagree, we go with Biggby's own published data.

For context, the FDA cites 400mg of caffeine a day as an amount generally not associated with negative effects in healthy adults. How caffeine affects you depends on your own tolerance and health, so treat these numbers as information, not advice.

That 400mg line matters here more than at most chains. A 24 oz hot Red Eye clears it on its own at 438mg, and two 20 oz brewed coffees put you at 476mg. Biggby's larger sizes add up fast.
