When a De'Longhi infuser cannot be extracted, the documented cause is that the machine has not been turned off: De'Longhi's fix is to turn the machine off by pressing the power button, which parks the infuser mechanism in the position that releases it. Pulling harder is never the answer.

The release sequence

1. Close the service door if you opened it already.
2. Press the power button and let the machine run its switch-off routine to the end. During shutdown the infuser drive returns to its resting position.
3. Open the service door, press the infuser's release grips, and slide it out. It should come with light resistance only.

Why the infuser locks mid-cycle

The infuser is driven through its compress-brew-eject travel by the machine, and at most points in that travel its geometry is pinned against the drive. Only the parked position lines the parts up with the removal path. Machines opened seconds after a brew, or after a power cut mid-cycle, present a pinned infuser. When to stop

If a full switch-off cycle, a second power cycle at the wall, and clean rails still leave the infuser immovable, stop pulling. A drive stuck mid-travel is a gearbox or motor issue, and levering the unit out breaks tabs that turn a service visit into a parts order.
