No major US coffee chain has announced its 2026 holiday menu yet. The verified history says November: Starbucks has launched its holiday menu between November 2 and November 7 for four straight years, most recently November 6, 2025, and Dunkin's 2025 holiday menu landed November 5. This page is the cross-chain caffeine tracker for the 2026 season. Right now it carries last year's lineups and figures, clearly labelled as 2025 data, and it gets rewritten with confirmed 2026 numbers the day each menu drops. Last reviewed August 15, 2026. For the Starbucks-only deep dive, see our Starbucks holiday drinks 2026 page.
Holiday launch dates, 2022 to 2026
| Year | Starbucks holiday launch | Dunkin holiday launch | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | November 3 | Not tracked here | Eat This, Not That |
| 2023 | November 2 | Not tracked here | Food Network |
| 2024 | November 7 | Not tracked here | Eat This, Not That |
| 2025 | November 6 | November 5 | TODAY, Dunkin newsroom |
| 2026 | Not announced | Not announced | Updated here when official |
Four straight Starbucks launches inside a six-day window at the start of November is a pattern, not a promise, and we are not printing a guessed 2026 date as a fact. The announcement has typically come in October; this page and the holiday cups page update the day it does.
Starbucks: the returning items and last year's verified figures
Starbucks split its 2025 holiday launch across two dates: four drinks on November 6 and two more on December 2, per TODAY. Caffeine figures are from Caffeine Informer's Starbucks guide, all for a 16 oz grande, and every row is labelled for what it actually is: a listed figure for the drink, or the figure for the base drink it is built on.
| 2025 drink | 2025 launch | Caffeine, 16 oz grande | Figure type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peppermint Mocha | November 6 | 150mg | Listed for the drink |
| Caramel Brulee Latte | November 6 | 150mg | Base drink: Caffe Latte |
| Iced Sugar Cookie Latte | November 6 | 150mg | Base drink: iced Caffe Latte |
| Iced Gingerbread Chai | November 6 | 95mg | Base drink: iced chai latte |
| Chestnut Praline Latte | December 2 | 150mg | Base drink: Caffe Latte |
| Eggnog Latte | December 2 | 150mg | Base drink: Caffe Latte |
Two footnotes worth having. First, the same guide lists a plain Caffe Mocha at 175mg but the Peppermint Mocha itself at 150mg, a reminder that a seasonal build does not always match the drink it resembles, which is why the figure-type column exists. Second, the holiday cold foams (Gingerbread Cream, Peppermint Chocolate Cream, Sugar Cookie Cream, Caramel Brulee Cream, and from December 2, Eggnog Cream, per TODAY) add dairy and sugar, not caffeine; on a grande Cold Brew they sit on a 205mg base. Red Cup Day 2025 fell on Thursday, November 13, with a reusable grande red cup given with any handcrafted holiday beverage while supplies last; the 2026 date is unannounced.
Dunkin: the returning items and last year's verified figures
Dunkin launched its 2025 holiday menu on November 5, announced October 29 in its newsroom release: the Peppermint Mocha and Toasted White Chocolate Signature Lattes returned, joined by the new Cookie Butter Cloud Latte and the Berry Sangria Refresher, Dunkin's first holiday Refresher. Dunkin publishes fewer per-drink caffeine numbers than Starbucks, so the verified figures below are for the base builds, from Caffeine Informer's Dunkin guide.
| 2025 drink | 2025 status | Caffeine, medium | Figure type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte | Returning | 166mg | Base drink: medium hot latte |
| Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte | Returning | 166mg | Base drink: medium hot latte |
| Cookie Butter Cloud Latte | New in 2025, served iced | 166mg | Base drink: medium iced latte, 24 fl oz |
| Berry Sangria Refresher | New in 2025 | Not published | Tea-based; no verified figure |
The same guide's context numbers: a medium Dunkin hot coffee lists 210mg and a medium cold brew 260mg, both above any latte on either chain's holiday menu, because milk volume displaces coffee. Flavor swirls and toppings add sugar, not caffeine.
For context on all of the above, the FDA cites 400mg of caffeine a day as an amount not generally associated with negative effects in healthy adults (FDA). How caffeine affects you depends on your own tolerance and health, so treat these numbers as information, not advice.
What changes on this page, and when
The day each 2026 menu is announced, the launch-date table gets its confirmed dates. The day each menu drops, last year's tables are replaced with the confirmed 2026 lineups, per-drink figures are swapped in as chains publish them, and the review date changes. Nothing on this page is a countdown, a deal, or a guess printed as a date. The same system already runs on our fall menu caffeine tracker, which flipped to confirmed figures when the fall menus launched in August.

FAQ
When do holiday drinks come out in 2026? Neither Starbucks nor Dunkin has announced a 2026 date. Starbucks has launched between November 2 and November 7 every year since 2022, most recently November 6, 2025, and Dunkin launched November 5, 2025, so the first week of November is the pattern.
Which holiday drink has the most caffeine? Among last year's verified figures, the espresso lattes cluster at 150mg for a Starbucks grande and 166mg for a Dunkin medium base. Cold brew based orders run higher: a grande Starbucks Cold Brew lists 205mg and a medium Dunkin cold brew 260mg before any holiday foam or swirl.
Do holiday syrups and cold foams add caffeine? No. Holiday sauces, swirls, and cold foams add sugar and dairy, not caffeine. The caffeine comes from the espresso, coffee, or tea base, which is why base-drink figures are a reliable floor until chains publish per-drink numbers.
