Starbucks summer menu 2026: every new drink, launch date, and caffeine count

The Starbucks summer 2026 menu lands in four waves, not one drop. The core menu launched May 12, the Blue Coconut drinks arrive June 16, the S'mores lineup returns July 1 (Starbucks Rewards early access June 30), and the Blended Energy Refreshers come July 14, per Starbucks. If you work bar, that means four separate build-outs to learn, not a single set-and-forget rollout.

The full launch calendar

Here is every new or returning drink and when it actually hits the menu. The horchata espresso drinks and the Tropical Butterfly Refresher opened the season on May 12; the S'mores trio and the coconut pair are the mid-summer adds.

Drink Available What it is
Tropical Butterfly Refresher May 12 Passionfruit and guava with mango-pineapple pearls
Iced Horchata Shaken Espresso May 12 Returning; blonde espresso with horchata syrup
Horchata Frappuccino May 12 New blended horchata-flavored Frappuccino
Blue Coconut Refresher June 16 Coconut, strawberry and acai, colored with blue spirulina
Iced Blue Coconut Matcha June 16 Mango and matcha under toasted coconut cold foam
S'mores Frappuccino July 1 (Rewards June 30) Returning after six years; vanilla, coffee, marshmallow whip, chocolate
S'mores Cold Brew July 1 (Rewards June 30) Cold brew with marshmallow cold foam
Iced S'mores Chai July 1 (Rewards June 30) Chai with toasted marshmallow and chocolate
Blended Energy Refreshers July 14 Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade and Mango Strawberry Lemonade, blended

Two names to know at the register. The S'mores Frappuccino is the headline, back for the first time in six years by customer and barista demand, per Starbucks. Rewards members get it a day early, June 30, before the July 1 nationwide launch. The Blended Energy Refreshers are the other genuinely new format: a Refresher blended with ice and real fruit pieces, built on the green coffee extract energy base, and they close out the season on July 14.

Caffeine by base recipe (grande, 16 oz)

Starbucks builds these summer drinks on existing bases, so the caffeine tracks the base recipe. These are the grande numbers pulled from Starbucks nutrition and the Energy Refreshers page. The exact per-product figures for the brand-new drinks post to their own nutrition pages at launch, but the base tells you the ballpark.

Summer drink Built on Caffeine (grande)
S'mores Cold Brew Cold Brew 205 mg
Blended Energy Refreshers Energy Refresher (green coffee extract) 125 mg
S'mores Frappuccino Coffee Frappuccino about 90 mg
Iced Blue Coconut Matcha Iced Matcha 65 mg
Blue Coconut / Tropical Butterfly Refresher Refresher 50 mg

Sources: the Starbucks Energy Refreshers page lists 125 mg grande from green coffee extract, and Starbucks nutrition lists Cold Brew at 205 mg grande, Iced Matcha Latte at 65 mg, the Strawberry Acai Refresher at 50 mg, and the coffee-based Caramel Frappuccino at 90 mg grande as the Frappuccino reference. So the range across the summer menu runs from a light 50 mg Refresher up to a 205 mg S'mores Cold Brew, with the Blended Energy Refreshers sitting in the middle at 125 mg because the caffeine comes from green coffee extract, not brewed coffee.

For context, the FDA cites 400mg of caffeine a day as an amount generally not associated with negative effects in healthy adults. How caffeine affects you depends on your own tolerance and health, so treat these numbers as information, not advice.
