The parts diagram is the reason to bother
Baratza grinders are built to be opened, and the exploded view is what makes that practical. It numbers every screw, burr carrier, gear and micro switch, and Baratza's support team works from the same numbers. When you call, the conversation goes faster if you can say which item on the parts list failed rather than describing a noise.
Find your model and serial number
Baratza asks for two things before any support or warranty conversation: proof of the date of purchase, and the model and serial number, which it says are "located on the bottom of the grinder." Tip the grinder, empty the hopper first, and photograph the label so you have it.
Legacy grinders are still archived
If you own an Encore from before the current revision, a Preciso, a Maestro, a Vario W, an Esatto or one of the original Sette 270W units, the same documents page carries the old manuals under a legacy section. Nothing has been deleted, which is unusual and worth knowing before you pay for a scanned copy somewhere else.
What the manual leaves out
Grind settings for a specific brew method are not in any Baratza manual, because the right number depends on your beans and your brewer.
