Breville reprints manuals, and the newer printing sometimes reorganises the care and cleaning chapter. If a step in your booklet does not match the machine, try the other printing.

Find your model code first
Breville tells you where to look in its own warranty claim instructions: locate the product model number, batch code (a 3 or 4 digit number) and serial number, which "can be found on a sticker or molded into the product housing typically located underneath or on the back of the product." Tip the machine, empty the drip tray first, and write the code down. The model code is the only reliable way to pick the right manual, because Breville sells several machines under similar names.
What the manual will not tell you
Two things in particular. First, the manual does not state your warranty length. The later US printing of the Bambino Plus booklet, linked in the table above, says only that "for details on length of warranty, to obtain a printed copy or to read full terms and conditions please scan the QR code or visit www.breville.com." Second, the manual gives factory grind and dose starting points, not the settings for your beans, which is what dial in settings for the Barista Express is for.

Where is the model number on a Breville machine? On a sticker or molded into the housing, usually underneath the machine or on the back. Breville asks for the model number, the 3 or 4 digit batch code and the serial number when you make a warranty claim.
Does the Breville manual say how long the warranty is? No. The booklet points you to breville.com for the length and full terms. Breville publishes the period on each model's product page instead, and it is 1 year on some models and 2 on others.
